EASTENDERS
There is not a dry eye in the house as the residents of Albert Square say a final farewell to Mark Fowler. But poor mum Pauline has even more grief to contend with, when Martin refuses to give the eulogy because his brother inconsiderately didn't have time to write him a letter before he popped his clogs. He has a strop which would make Kevin the teenager look like a choirboy, but yet again saintly Sonia comes to the rescue. Elsewhere, Alfie's usualy happy-go-lucky act is slipping, but he reassures Kat that he can handle the hardman Andy.
MAKE ME HONEST
This week's good Samaritan, former firefighter Axel Cleghorn, has a job on his hands when he tries to tempt tearaway Shumon Miah away from crime. At the age of 20, Shumon has already served more than three yeats in prison for armed robbery and is now on probation. The south Londoner knows that is he makes the smallest of mistakes he will be locked up again. He wants a better life for himself and his mentor Axel, and is determined to help him succeed - but is his staying power enough to see him through?
NEW TRICKS
Despite its name, this drama often shows the unconventional detectives up to their 'old' tricks. Tonight, Standing (Dennis Waterman) arranges for a man to be arrested, because it's the only way he can test his DNA. It's all part of a case to help a dying father. Derek (Frank Mills) wants to prove his teenage son wasn't connected to a child's murder 20 years ago. Ken Rodgers hanged himself, not because he was guilty, his father claims, but because he knew his promising golf career was over. The team prove Ken's innocence, but now every member of his golf club is a suspect, and for more than one crime.
JOHN TRAVOLTA...
The Night Fever legend has had a rollercoaster ride of fame over the years, from the heady heights of the disco-dancing 70s, to the lowly 'Look Who's Talking' 80s, before shooting back up to his cult status with his 90s Pulp Fiction comeback. All of which the star, famed for being intensely private, speaks about candidly in his first full-length interview in 26 years. This fascinating documentary reveals the truth about Travolta's childhoos as told by his sisters, his lifelong obsession with the religion Scientology and his realised ambition to become a pilot.
