CORONATION STREET

This episode must have been written on Mothering Sunday, judging by the amount of parent-themed storylines jostling for space. Mum's the word for the troubled Todd when he secretly confides in Eileen that he loves both Sarah Louise and Karl. Shocked, but trying to be supportive, her maternal advice is not what Todd wants to hear as he prepares to be a father. Elsewhere, pushy mother Sally continues to make life hell for daughter Rosie. This youngster is told to dump boyfriend Craign and is pushed into more drama school auditions.

INSPECTOR MORSE

Another repeat, but this classic episode of Morse is pure vintage - just like the MkII Jaguar the inspector drives around Oxford. Tonight, Morse and his tireless sidekick Lewis investigate the disapperarance of a young schoolgirl at an ultra-posh boarding school. A bushy-eyebrowed Elizabeth Hurley (pre-styling) makes an appearance as a prim and proper teenage pal. Leaving no stones unturned, the dynamic duo soon unravel the secrets hidden behind the school gates of the elite establishment and discover more than just skeletons in the stationery cupboard.

WILL & GRACE

Tonight's serving of quirkiness has been split into two shows to be aired this week and next. With Will and Grace's decision to have a baby together, the title of the two-partner - A.I: Artificial Insemination - gives you more than a rough idea of how they go about it. Elsewhere, Jack thinks an Oscar would look great on his mantelpiece, but comes to terms with the fact he is never going to be a successful thepian and Karen accepts that her jailbird husband Stan is going to be locked up for some time.

DERREN BROWN...

Famed for playing Russian roulette on live TV, Derren Brown, the psychological illusionist, retuns with a new series of his 'Trick of the Mind' show. He continues to spook eagle-eyed spectators on the street with his quick tricks and psychic powers, and leaves actor Stephen Fry speechless with an amazing card trick. However, the highlight of the show sees Derren beat nine chess grandmasters at their own game. If you want to figure out how he does it, fret not - he generously reveals an insider secret which will have the Magic Circle spitting.
